James M. Larkin

Jim Larkin has two decades of experience working with employers in several capacities, including as in-house counsel, outside counsel, and human resources executive.  Jim counsels contractors and non-profit organizations on labor and employment matters, human resources compliance, employee benefits, and myriad commercial as well as government contracting matters.  He helps clients resolve employee performance issues, assists them with developing and overseeing human resources programs, and counsels them on ERISA qualified retirement and health and welfare plans.  Jim also assists clients with bid protests, claims and disputes, prime/sub disputes, teaming agreements, and other contracting matters.  Jim’s particular expertise is creatively resolving disputes through negotiation, whether they be contract or employment related. 

Jim’s extensive experience gives him an understanding and appreciation of the business objectives and responsibilities that our clients face every day because he has dealt with issues from both the private law firm and in-house perspective.  Because of that experience, Jim applies a pragmatic view when counseling clients on how to achieve most efficiently the organization’s goals and objectives.  Jim’s business-oriented way of resolving disputes is what makes him a valuable asset to the firm, and more importantly, a valuable asset to our clients.
